If you run a services business on ConnectWise, Autotask, or HaloPSA, the Claudeforce announcement is easy to dismiss as somebody else's news. It's worth a closer look, because it exposes a gap that's specific to how your stack is shaped.
What was actually announced. On 26 August 2026, Salesforce and Anthropic announced an expanded partnership branded Claudeforce. It launches with Salesforce in Claude, a plugin carrying 37 prebuilt sales skills, including meeting prep, deal health review, and pipeline review, that let sellers reason over live CRM data and take governed action from inside Claude.
Actions route back through Salesforce, so existing business rules and per-user permissions still apply. An admin connects it once. It reached select pilot customers at announcement, with an open beta expected in September 2026 and further prebuilt skills later in the year. Customers pay Salesforce through its headless consumption pricing and contract separately with Anthropic for Claude usage.
Why this lands differently for a PSA-led business
Salesforce in Claude works because there is one system holding the customer, the pipeline, the permissions, and the action layer. Point the reasoning at that system and it can see the whole picture.
Most PSA-led businesses aren't shaped that way. Service delivery, contracts, tickets, and time live in the PSA. Sales lives in a separate CRM, often HubSpot or Salesforce. Neither system sees the other clearly, and the interesting questions sit across the seam.
Is this account expanding or quietly churning? The pipeline can't tell you. The ticket history can, and it's in a different database.
The three jobs worth automating first
Renewals. Contract dates are known well in advance and still slip, because the signal that a renewal is at risk lives in ticket volume, response times, and usage, not in the renewal date itself. Flag it at 90 days against real delivery data and the conversation happens while you can still change the outcome.
Stakeholder maps on complex accounts. A mid-market client with decision-makers across IT, security, and finance is held together by one AE's memory. When they leave, so does the map. Keeping it live is unglamorous, continuous work, which is exactly what an agent is for.
Security questionnaires and RFPs. The answers already exist in documents you've written. Drafting the first pass and routing only genuine exceptions turns a week into an afternoon.
A note for vendors selling through the channel
If you're an MDR, backup, or DR vendor selling through MSPs and MSSPs rather than to them, the same seam problem applies in reverse. Your partner-sourced pipeline holds co-sell signal that nobody is systematically reading, because it's spread across partner portals, deal registrations, and your own CRM.
Same category of work, different direction of travel.
What OTTO does about it
OTTO builds the equivalent agent layer inside ConnectWise & Autotask, and then operates it: weekly tuning against live performance data, uptime monitoring, a live agent inventory, and someone who owns it when it breaks.
